When it comes to Alaska fly fishing, we have everything you need. The Dolly is most effective when fished with a swing technique and a sink tip depending on river depth. No See Um Lodge is all about the entire experience. We had a fantastic salmon run this year, but more importantly it was drawn out. This occurrence is, most times, visual for an angler. Whatever fish you are pursuing, we have the right flies and tackle for you. For over 40 years we have been flying and guiding anglers throughout Bristol Bay. We have a lake boat to access other tributaries that flow into Lake Iliamna. While there are other lodges in the area, other lodges have to boat minutes to get to the river, and it is impossible to fish in front of the lodge. The cabins and rooms are well furnished with quality. A scenic float trip with a pick-up miles downstream will allow you to cover lots of water while still getting out to wade the best spots. We maintain a remote camp at Ilnik. Your meals are included, and your help around camp is expected. Guests can spread out and fish every inch of the river. They offer top guides, pilots and a staff that knows how to make you feel comfortable and who attend all of your needs.
You may fly fish for Kings on the Alagnak River where you can sight fish with a fly rod. Many rivers in the Bristol Bay Region see hatches of Stoneflies, Caddis, and other insects in the early summer season.
Fly fishing alaska on a budget
It is a fly fishing only river. Tungsten helps sink the nymph quickly so you can maximize the time your fly spends on the river bottom. We maintain a remote camp at Ilnik. The Copper River Lodge only takes 6 guests a week! Our guests will stay in a tent camp on the lower Alagnak river hosted by professional guides and targeting primarily fresh sea-run salmon. Alaska is famous for its King Salmon fishing. Fishing in Alaska for the first time? I prefer the Morrish Mouse. The best place to catch sockeye is the Kvichak River — right out our front door. When you are at the lodge you can enjoy our hot tub or sauna, both are always hot! For over 40 years we have been flying and guiding anglers throughout Bristol Bay. I often find fish holding both in riffles and just downstream where the riffle dumps into a run or a pool.
